City fans’ groups join together for Return to Blue protest

JonCandy1927Members of all main Cardiff City supporter groups will join together on Saturday, January 31st (2pm ) and march from Canton to the Cardiff City Stadium to deliver a letter to the club, formally requesting a change back to Cardiff City’s traditional blue home kit with Bluebird badge for the 2015-16 season.

The request is supported by all major fan groups including The Cardiff City Supporters Trust, The Cardiff City Supporters Club, Cardiff City Forum, Cardiff City Online, Bluebirds Unite and as far as Bluebirds Down Under (Australia).

Thousands of supporters are expected to attend this peaceful but passionate demonstration and all supporters groups, individual fans and their families are also invited and encouraged to join in. Route to be announced shortly (subject to police / local authority approval).

Objective

It is hoped Cardiff City Football Club and its owners will accept that the vast, overwhelming majority of its fans (and customers) passionately desire a return to our traditional blue home kit, and we ask the club to take positive steps to return us to blue in time for the 2015-16 Season. It is also hoped that the club recognise that by changing the home kit back to blue, it will, without question, have a huge positive impact on Cardiff City FC, not only as a Football Club, but as business and as a focal point of the community, making it a club that we can all once again be proud of together.

Blue Tuesday

A huge second follow-up event is to take place at Cardiff City’s home game against Brighton on Tuesday, February 10th. It will almost be 2 years to the day, that Cardiff last played Brighton on a cold, February Tuesday night, a night that many fans will never forget due to the red scarf give away.

This time, supporter groups will ask all fans to join them and take part in a massive celebration of blue inside the stadium. With an overwhelming display of blue kits, scarves and flags, we will take back our stadium and proudly restored blue as the true natural colour of Cardiff City Football Club..
