PHIL DWYER SIGNS BOOK AND HELPS KEENOR APPEAL

Cardiff City legend Phil Dwyer will sign copies of his autobiography, Mr Cardiff City in the Trust Office at Cardiff City Stadium before the match against Nottingham Forest on Saturday, November 26h.

Grangetown-born Phil or Joe as he is also known made a club record 471 League appearances for Cardiff City plus another 102 appearances in various cup competitions – a total of 573 first-team appearances over 13 years.

The Trust office, which is close to Gate 5 (Canton/Ninian stands), will be open from 1.30pm until 15 minutes before kick-off.

Come along and meet Phil, get your book signed and chat with a true City legend.

  • Mr.Cardiff City is published by Fort Publishing Ltd (£16.99) and is written in collaboration with local author and Cardiff City fan James Leighton, who wrote the biography of Fred Keenor and the autobiography of Christian Roberts. Five pounds from every sale is being donated to the Fred Keenor Statue Appeal.

DILWAR GIVES HENNESSY NIGHT A KICK

Dilwar Ali of the Nahin Spice Centre in Caerphilly Road, Cardiff, who is providing the curry at the Frank Hennessy night at the Cardiff City Stadium on November 17th, has donated a signed Cardiff City ball from 2007 to the raffle. OLD PROGRAMMES FOR SALE IN AID OF KEENOR APPEAL

From the Palace game we will be selling old programmes from the Trust office in aid of the Keenor appeal.

Programmes include City homes and aways, Wales homes and aways, FA Cup finals, big games, non-league including Merthyr Tydfil, even Swansea programmes. From 20p upwards. They’ve all been donated to the appeal for fundraising.

Come and have a look and if you’ve got children why not start them on a lifetime of collecting programmes?

CALL IN AT THE TRUST OFFICE

The Trust office opens from around 90 minutes before kick-off until 15 minutes before matches start.

At the office you can sign up for the Trust from just £12 a year, with children under-16 free, buy T-shirts, miniatures and pin badges in aid of the Fred Keenor Statue Appeal. And from the Crystal Palace game we’ll be selling old  programmes donated to the appeal. The Trust office is near Gate 5 (Canton and Ninian Stands).
