PLEASE HELP US ON NOVEMBER 20th

The Trust is holding a recruitment drive on Saturday November 20th, the day City play Nottingham Forest at home.

With so many more people attending City games these days, we want to sign up as many City fans as possible to be members of the Trust. We’ve simplified the membership scheme and produced a new Trust publicity leaflet to help us do this.

We need as many people as possible to give out leaflets on November 20th. All you have to do is arrive at the ground by 1.15 for a quick briefing session and then spend an hour handing out leaflets to fans arriving for the game. Nothing more difficult than that but the more people we have doing it, the more successful we will be.

If you can spare the time that day, we’d really appreciate your help. Please let us know if you can help by emailing us at members@ccfctrust.org.

Please help us grow the Trust. The more members we have, the louder our voice and the greater our influence on behalf of City fans. Please help if you possibly can.

Thank you
Tracey

BLUEBIRDS FAN MATTHEW RAISES £300 FOR KEENOR FUND

Matthew Bullock

This is Matthew Bullock’s report after completing the Toronto Marathon

Having signed up to do the Toronto marathon I was looking for a charity to raise money for and being a Supporters’ Trust member. I thought why not help with the Fred Keenor Statue Fund seeing as I very much believed in and supported the project?

Having spent a few days in the wonderful city seeing the sights, I took my place at the start line on the October 17th and ran the full 26.2 miles in 3 hours 40 minutes.

Now I would of been disappointed with that time beforehand as it was longer than when I had previously run marathons but considering how difficult the course was it was a pleasing time, and considering the cramps I suffered in my legs, ouch!!!!

Mind you considering Fred Keenor got shrapnel wounds in his legs during World War 1 and carried on playing I had nothing to moan about.

Now I have to do the hard part of it all and that’s get money off people and an early estimate is that I have raised around the £300 mark. May I thank the Supporters’ Trust for being so co-operative, family and friends for helping me raise money, Cardiff City Supporters Club for their kind donation and Daniel Sturt for accompanying me on the trip and being my official photographer haha!

Thanks for all your fantastic efforts Matthew – we hope the feet have recovered from pounding the streets of Toronto.
