Where do you live?
What do you do for a living?
Project Manager ICT Consultant.
Why did you join the Trust?
I joined the Trust in August 2009, when it was first formed; I wanted to support the Trust that had the fan’s interests first.
Why would you encourage fans to join the Trust?
The Trust is a recognised voice of the Cardiff fans, giving an opportunity to engage with the club.
Why did you seek election to the Trust Board?
I believed I could be an asset to the Trust and increase the communication between the club, the Trust, fans and other supporters clubs.
What is your aim for the Trust over the next 12 months?
- FANS: We have to engage with the fan base better, to many times we have had missed opportunities. Better communication will lead to more membership.
- CLUB: Since my involvement in 2014 we have increased our meetings with CCFC, we are engaging at all levels better. With the appointment of a new Fan Liaison Officer Amy McDonald there is now another path of communication we have between the club and the fan base. It is important that the club know the Trust’s aims and objectives so they can appreciate our stance when things come between us.
A Stronger Voice. We have to engage and work with local communities better, working alongside other organisations whilst promoting the Trust. If we can show Board members of CCFC what we are doing and are transparent at all levels a greater trust between all can be had and we will then be listened to.
How long have you supported Cardiff City?
My first game was 1974, a young 9 year old thrust into CCFC life, it was mesmerising. I became hooked.
What was your favourite City match?
The FA Cup game at Ninian park v Leeds Utd, the atmosphere was unbelievable, in my opinion the best ever at Ninian park, it became even better when Scott Young scored the winner!
